Cinders and Smoke

Built to Last
In the era of steam, things were built different. Houses, furniture, and machines of the time were built with a level of workmanship and pride that are simply not found today. They were built to stand the test of time. In the case of steam engines, they were outpaced by technological advancement. However, due to the workmanship and quality of engineering, many can and do still run. In fact, some of these boilers were found in ditches, discarded with the introduction of gas and diesel engines. With a little elbow grease, they were restored, and hiss along just as smoothly as the day they rolled off the production line.
